Scott Inc. (JLS) is responsible for driving the success of the branch by leading with the JLS shared vision, managing with purpose, and applying industry experience to grow the productivity of broker associates. The successful Office Leader and Business Coach, in collaboration with the Vice President of Residential Success, will develop an annual business plan to execute on key initiatives, such as recruiting experienced brokers, coaching to broker productivity, strategies to increase market share, and defining steps that result in office profitability. The OL inspires connectivity between the office support staff and the broker associates, as well as establishes working relationships with JLS Network Partners. In addition, the JLS OL has a pulse on the local real estate market, knows the competition, and leverages opportunities to identify acquisition and recruiting opportunities. They recognize current trends/best practices that can be applied to JLS. The OL will also stay connected with the community through marketing and social media strategies, as well as community outreach. JLS Office Leader and Business Coach must be an influential leader, a strategic thinker, and most importantly, must embrace our John L. Compensation & Benefits: • The position is full-time and is considered exempt for purposes of the Wage and Hour Law • Pay is from $28.87 to $43.27 per hour • Incentive opportunities include: Office Net Profit, Productivity, and Recruiting Incentives • JLS benefits offerings for full-time employees include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription, Long Term Disability, Term Life, AD&D, FSA, and supplemental insurance options • Employees are eligible to participate in the JLS 401(k) Retirement Plan • Paid time off is provided in accordance with JLS policies • 9 to 10 paid holidays a year Responsibilities: • Models, communicates, and facilitates the implementation of JLS vision, policies, procedures, and practices • Develops an annual business plan that incorporates key business strategies such as recruiting, coaching to broker productivity, and fosters office culture to be inclusive and maintain a respectful workplace • Grow branch productivity through selective recruiting, coaching, and engagement of broker associates • Provide education regarding real estate transactions and provide problem-solving as needed • Conduct 1:1 and group coaching for broker associates to increase their productivity • Review of real estate transactions to ensure accurate completion and legal compliance with all state, federal, and local legal requirements with each transaction • Have extensive knowledge and conduct learning sessions on JLS tools (CloudCMA, Trendgraphix, JLS Associate Business Plan, JLS Mobile App, JLS CRM, Property Tracker, Neighborhood Campaigns, and Housing Updates) and use of JLS Client Integrated Services (i.e., LeadingRE Relocation, JLS E-Business, Relocation, Priority Home Lending, and Home Warranty preferred partner) • Lead and manage the support team to provide support to broker associates and to encourage professional growth • Responsible for creating an inclusive office culture and maintaining a respectful workplace for all employees and broker associates • Understand and manage office expenses, review P & L monthly, and make changes as needed • Utilize company marketing tools/programs to be present on social media and to market directly to clients • Create events campaigns to inspire "Living Life as a Contribution" • Participate in company-wide/office events and Industry events. • Office Leader and Business Coach may be assigned additional duties from time to time. Qualifications: • Inspires others to embrace JLS' vision of Living Life as a Contribution, which includes the success plan, positive mindset, skill mastery, and personal engagement activities • Desire to meet the expectations of the broker associate who has joined JLS to be successful in real estate • Must be able to identify and recruit experienced broker associates as well as new brokers to the real estate industry • Use real estate knowledge and leadership skills to coach broker associates to grow their business and be productive • In-depth knowledge of real estate transactions in order to be in legal compliance with all state, federal, and local legal requirements with each transaction • Be able to execute on JLS programs by providing education and learning opportunities to show broker associates how to use tools and programs. • Effective management skills are needed to manage the support team and to encourage growth • Presentation skills are key to conducting weekly sales meetings that inspire our brokers to execute on real estate activities • Confident to share new ideas, speak up to share own vision, and collaborate with others • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is able to reset priorities as needed • Communicates clearly and can adjust communication style based on the audience • Ability to earn the respect and confidence of others in the company, industry, and community. • Working knowledge of Microsoft 360 products such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and third-party products such as Zoom, Trendgraphix, Housing Updates, Property Tracker, Neighborhood Campaigns, and CoudCMA. • It is critical for this position to always maintain confidentiality, integrity, professionalism, and exercise good judgment and composure under pressure. Qualifications: • Must have a Managing Broker (WA) license as required to supervise other real estate licensees • 5 – 7 years of real estate sales experience, which includes 3 years of management • Proven track record of successfully establishing and utilizing systems to grow their real estate sales business Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee in an office setting to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
